Productivity Round 2

headline image for “Productivity Round 2”Hey, look! More green than red!

We’ve now seen 48 of the 63 games played already, and I haven’t become completely worthless… yet. That said, how’s the bracket?

Well, the first two rounds of the Big Dance are now over. My bracket is still breathing and my productivity is slowly coming back—just in time for tournament rounds three and four this weekend. Wake Forest made me very unhappy on Saturday, but Wisconsin-Milwaukee made me very happy on Friday. My Final Four isn’t looking so good, but my Sweet 16 has the potential to either kick total ass or make me miserable. There is far more green on this year’s bracket than on any bracket of mine that I can ever remember. I’m stunned.

Even more improbably, I’m still leading our little “SJU alumns and friends” pool (ignore the spelling error. We wasn’t English majurs). Year after year, I’ve proven that I can’t pick the winners of NFL games to save my life. Suddenly, I’m not making an ass of myself picking the winners of NCAA games. I have no doubt whatsoever that this will change in a few days’ time. I’ve got my red Sharpie ready to go…

Here is the updated bracket for you to compare with the last one. Fascinating, eh?

As for an update on the site… I made two posts today! That counts for something, right? I also changed the default style to “tate” instead of “capri” because the latter is so terribly broken in Windows still. Other than that, I’m still stuck at the “WordPress doesn’t create content for me stage. D’oh.
